Blue And White Decor: 15+ Photos to Get Inspire

Blue and white decor is, in a way, the perfect neutral color scheme. The cool, calming colors are easy on the eyes, making blue and white rooms feel serene and peaceful.

Blue is a color that immediately makes you feel calm, even if just one shade of blue is used throughout the room. A blue wall in the dining room will give your home a cool, lived-in look, while a more heavily decorated light shade of blue in a bedroom will create a similarly calming effect.

Have you ever wanted to decorate your home in a fun and exciting way but needed help figuring out where to start? In one particular case, planning to repaint one small bathroom entirely blue, you will be started thinking about a lot of things that you didn’t even initially consider.

Questions like, “Which hue of blue should I go with?” (this is also a question you might be asking yourself if you decide to go with a blue-themed bathroom), or “Which accent colors should I use?” could be more than just an overwhelming thought.

The most simple way to decorate with blue and white is to pick one of the colors as your primary color. Choose a warm shade of blue like turquoise for a Mediterranean or Coastal feel or go with a moody tone like navy blue or dark sage blue to add an element of excellent design to your home.

The way a room is decorated can affect your mood for the better. If you want to feel relaxed whenever you walk into one room of your house that is complete with blue and white decor, these photos should help you get inspired. Also, I will give you some tips to help you get started.

Blue and White Kitchen Decor

Blue and white kitchen decor is a great way to create a bright and cheerful atmosphere. Whether you opt for a modern, classic, or vintage style, blue and white is a timeless combination that never goes out of style.

For kitchen walls, you can choose to either go all blue, all white or even mix the two colors. If you want to add a pop of color, try adding a light blue hue to the cabinets and keeping the walls white.

You can add a few pieces of blue and white decor, such as a kitchen rug or a set of blue and white dishes, to enhance the look further.

Suppose you love blue but don’t want to go too wild with decorating in blue and white. Here are some great ideas to add blue color to your kitchen decor:

Blue Kitchen Accessories: Add a touch of blue to the kitchen with colorful kitchen accessories like plates, napkins, and utensils. These can be found at just about any store that sells kitchen supplies.

Blue Kitchen Appliances: If you have a stainless steel refrigerator or stovetop, try painting them blue! You could also add other appliances like dishwashers or microwaves in blue.

Blue Kitchen Walls: Painting your kitchen walls a bright shade of blue will instantly make the room look more spacious and airy.

Blue and White Decor for Bathrooms

A blue and white bathroom can create a tranquil and spa-like atmosphere. You can choose to go with a serene blue and white tile design or a more playful look with patterned tiles.

To add even more color and texture, try incorporating white and blue towels, rugs, and shower curtains into the mix.

Try to Work With Different Shades of Blue

When incorporating blue and white decor into your home, it’s essential to try to work with different shades of blue. Using only one shade of blue can make for a dull look, so try to mix it up with different shades. You can mix different blue shades by creating a monochromatic color scheme that will help to create a more exciting look.

Include Blue and White Fabrics

Fabrics are a great way to add a touch of blue and white decor to your home. Whether you opt for curtains, throw pillows, or bedding, adding blue and white fabrics is a great way to make a room feel cozy and inviting. Look for fabrics with floral, geometric, or nautical patterns for a unique look.

You can effortlessly create a blue and white living room decor by doing this.

Go Bold with a Statement Piece

Add a piece of blue to your home decor to make a bold statement. If you will ask me, the best way to add blue color to your decor is with a large furniture piece. However, a large wall art piece, a colorful rug, or adding a statement piece to your decor can bring a room to life.

Keep It Simple

If you’re looking for a more subtle look, try keeping it simple with blue and white decor. Stick with a few basic pieces, such as a white sofa and a few blue and white throw pillows or wall art, for a minimalist look that will never go out of style.

Especially you can use this idea to create blue and white bedroom decor. Why? Cause in the bedroom, there are few oversized items compared with the room, like the living room. So, work with white items by adding some blue decor pieces.

Paint The Walls Blue

Consider painting the walls blue to create blue and white home decor. Choose a shade of blue, such as sky blue, for a subtle look. If you want to make a bolder statement, opt for a bright blue hue to make a room stand out.

To make more harmonies look, find some decorative pieces with the same blue shade you use in your walls and add 2 or 3 different ways.

Play with Prints and Patterns

What color goes with blue and white decor? Well, you can make this color combo work with almost every color. Try to use this color as your background, such as the image below, white walls, and a blue sofa, and then add other colors.

If you want to add a bit of flair to your decor, try playing with prints and patterns. Look for floral, striped, or geometric patterns which include blue and white colors for a unique look. You can also mix and match different prints and patterns to create an even more interesting look.

Adding golden accents to your blue and white decor can really bring a touch of glamour to a room. Add a few pieces of gold metal, such as gold drawer pulls, a gold light fixture, or a gold mirror, to add a touch of luxury.

Add a Pop of Color with a Single Piece of Blue Furniture

If you want to add a pop of color to your blue and white home decor, try adding a single piece of blue furniture. It could be a blue armchair, a blue sofa, or even a blue ottoman. This will create an interesting focal point and give the room a unique look.

Try a Pale Shade of Blue on the Walls

If you want to create a serene and peaceful atmosphere, try painting the walls a pale shade of blue. This is a very popular approach to blue and white bedroom decor, and it is 100% succeeded in giving the calm bedroom vibe most people are searching for.

Look for a pale blue shade, such as baby blue or sky blue, for a subtle and calming look. Here are some paint color ideas for small bedrooms, for which some light blue shades as well.

Blue and white decor is one of those color schemes that go with just about any design. The country blue and white decor looks great with classic styles like French Country and English Country, for example. Mediterranean blue and white decor can be combined with wood tones or aged metal. If you’re working on a primary, dark blue room, you can use light blue textiles to add warmth to the area.

Remember that there are still many other options for designing with these two colors together—you are not limited to just these options. You can always search online to find more ideas for decorating with blue and white.

Thank you for this article as I’m currently making decisions on my navy blue dining room and blue and white kitchen. I was planning on black and gold fixtures and maybe blue lower cabinets, but fear being too trendy or too cold and stark.

Hi Billie! It sounds like you’re in the process of making some exciting design decisions for your home. I can understand your concerns about being too trendy or creating a space that feels too cold. Have you considered incorporating warm accent colors or textures to balance out the blue and white? Perhaps some natural wood elements or warm metallic finishes could help to soften the space and make it feel more inviting. Best of luck with your project!
